Concur Benefits
With the introduction of Concur, our goal is to streamline and expedite the expense reimbursement process for U of T employees.
Benefits of Concur include:
- Digital authentication and submission: It integrates with your UTORid (standard single sign-on authentication). No need to physically sign your expense reimbursements anymore; your authentication via UTORid acts as your digital signature and allows you to submit your expense claims online.
- Optical Character Recognition (OCR): Concur can use a photo or scan of your receipt to automatically populate key details such as the amount, currency, and date.
- Consolidated communications about a claim: It offers additional space for claim related comments and detailed notes, which are automatically shared with the claim reviewer and approver.
- Multi-platform use: Concur is flexible to use, it can be accessed from your desktop or a mobile app.
- Easy administration: Concur allows you to assign different cost codes in one expense reimbursement.
- Real-time status: It offers real-time visibility into the status of your claim as it moves through the approval workflow.
- Automated workflows: Concur’s workflow is easy to follow and presents a clear step-by-step approval flow for your claim.
- Delegate functionality: Where needed you can ask for support via Concur’s delegate function.
- Full integration: It is part of the SAP family and will work in conjunction with our existing Financial Information System (FIS).
- Peer users: Concur is used by many peer U15 institutions, such as the University of Manitoba, Queen’s University, University of Saskatchewan, University of Waterloo, University of Alberta, University of British Columbia, and University of Calgary.
